A Picture's Worth 1000 Words. . .

I am new to the blogging world so I am hoping you all will keep me motivated to voice my opinion and give advice.  Feel free to give me topics and I will focus the week around that specific topic.  This week (even though it's almost over), I have decided to pick the topic of photography when a bride asked me who I recommended.

It is important to hire a professional wedding photographer, opposed to having a friend take pictures with a good camera.  Having a friend take pictures may save you $1,000.00 but ONE picture is worth 1000 words.

Photographers have been trained in the field and know when to take pictures and capture the most intimate moments.  Anyone can pose a shot but will they be able to capture what the groom is thinking by the look in his eyes when he sees his beautiful bride for the first time?

It doesn't just end with "the look," there is more than that.  What about lighting, lighting can make or break an image.  Photographers know how to adjust their lenses to get the perfect image, it's not easy to get a shot with the sunlight in the background.

It is good to meet with photographers prior to booking to see if they can capture the images you desire, it helps to look at their portfolio and see images that they have captured.  Once the wedding stress is over, you will enjoy your wedding day and having an image that was caught on camera is great to have!
