My daughter was married on 4/18/09 and we booked the Newport Syndicate for our reception. This is our only daughter and we had no idea of what to expect in planning the reception. The staff at the Syndicate made this experience very easy for us.
We felt like we were important. Everyone at the Syndicate was very knowledgeable and helpful. We never felt like we were asking too many questions, asking "stupid" questions, or demanding too much for the staff. They were able to handle all requests we asked of them, even some special items we needed with no problem.
During the last two weeks we were in contact with them regularly (in fact, maybe too much) but we never felt we were bothering them. Our phone calls/e-mails were handled promptly and correctly. The coordinator, Sarah, really knew what she was doing.
The event went off without a flaw. The facility is awesome and the decorations were beautiful. We had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was, how much fun they had and was very impressed with the staff. We felt very comfortable there and it did not seem like big brother was watching our every move.
After all was done, the staff cleaned up everything for us, gathered all our gifts, flowers, etc and loaded it into our car. This was an extra perk that we really appreciated.
I would recommend the Syndicate to anyone hosting any type event. Their experience in organizing events really shows. I would rate our overall experience a 10+ out of a possible 10. As I said before, I never knew what to expect as this was the first wedding planned in our family, and the Syndicate made it an enjoyable one.
